Greetings from the Director of Global Learning Center

　Global Learning Center was established in April 2019. Our goal is to contribute to Yamanashi Gakuin University’s mission and vision of globalization by organizing and　practicing intercultural co-learning and language education. Yamanashi Gakuin University is committed to promoting a campus culture that embraces diversity and inclusion, that recognizes, respects, encourages and celebrates the value of cultural diversity, and that aims to adopt and implement inclusive policies and strategies which advance international and cultural diversity as a positive force in the life of the University community.

　Yamanashi Gakuin University seeks to create a strong sense of belonging by celebrating our differences as proudly as celebrating our commonalities while helping faculty, staff, administrators, and students widen their horizons and gain a more profound knowledge of our continually changing world.

　We have launched Language Commons (LaCoMo) in April 2020, alongside the English Café and the Japanese Café. We hope you will visit and try our coffee at the counter in the center of the second floor. We are positive that you will enjoy the intercultural environment and make good use of the facilities to relax, study, and interact in a variety of languages.
