① ① Class cancellations ② Make-up classes ③ Classroom change Disease Rubella (German measles; three-day measles) Chickenpox (varicella) Adenovirus Tuberculosis and meningococcal meningitis Cholera, shigellosis, E. coli (Escherichia coli), typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, epidemic keratoconjunctivitis, acute hemorrhagic Type 3 conjunctivitis, other infectious diseases (2) Class cancellations, make-up classes, and classroom changes Classes may be cancelled if there are special school events or if the instructor is unable to conduct class due to unavoidable circumstances for more than one-third of a class. Course instructors send a class cancellation notice on UNIPA; however, if there is no cancellation notice or special instructions, and the instructor does not show up in the classroom at least 25 minutes after the class start time, students should contact the iCLA Administrative Office regarding the status of the class. In principle, make-up classes are held for cancelled classes. Make-up classes may be held on the make-up class day designated in the academic calendar, or another day during the period classes are being held. Announcements regarding classroom change are made on UNIPA if a course’s classroom is changed to a different classroom than is indicated for that course in the timetable, or if there are temporary classroom changes. (3) Unforeseen circumstances Injury or feeling unwell during class If a student is injured or feels unwell during class and visits a hospital, they should notify the Health and Medical Care Office. All students are covered by the "Student Accident Insurance for Education and Research" and may be compensated for injuries. 28 Length of suspension Until the rash has subsided Until the chickenpox blisters have formed scabs Until 2 days after major symptoms have subsided Until a physician has determined that there is no further risk of infection Until there is no further risk of infection
