? ④ Required and required-elective courses ① Period of Study ② Number of credits ③ Study Abroad (4) Major A major is the main area of concentration for students in an undergraduate program, and iCLA allows students to select only 1 of the following 6 fields of study. ?Global Business and Economics ?Interdisciplinary Data Science Majors must be selected from a subject area in which a student has taken a corresponding pathway course. To select Psychology or Interdisciplinary Data Science, students must have earned a grade of B or higher in the respective major’s pathway course. After declaration, under the consistent guidance of an advisor, students will continue to take Lecture courses in the major to enhance their expertise and pursue a ‘Graduation Research Project’ in that field. See section VI-1 “Procedures” for the procedures to declare or change majors. (5) Graduation requirements In order to graduate from the University, students must complete requirements ①~④ listed below. In order to graduate, students must be enrolled in the University for 8 or more semesters. In order to graduate, students must earn a total of 124 credits or more from courses taught at iCLA. However, only up to 6 credits from Japanese language courses can be counted toward graduation if a student takes both ‘EAE A’ and ‘EAE B,’ and only up to 15 credits if a student takes only ‘EAE B’ or if they are exempted from taking EAE. Students must participate in a Study Abroad program for two semesters. However, international students and students who have transferred from overseas universities are exempted. In some cases, students may be exempt based on their academic background and language proficiency at the time of matriculation. Students must earn credits in the following Subject Required and required-elective courses Area English Language Courses ‘English for Academic Excellence: B (EAE B)’ (15 credits) Students who are admitted as international degree-seeking students, or students who are deemed to have the same level of English proficiency as is required for international degree-seeking students, are exempted from this requirement. ?Political Science ?Interdisciplinary Arts 16 ?Psychology ?Japan Studies
