Those who do not follow the procedures for Withdrawal from the University without a valid reason (7) Change of Student Status A change in a student's enrollment status is called a Change of Student Status. The various enrollment status types are listed below, and each procedure is listed in section VI-1 “Procedures.” When a student is unable to study for 3 or more months, they can take a Leave of Absence with permission from the President. The duration of a Leave of Absence is 1 or 2 semesters, and can be extended for up to an additional 2 semesters under special circumstances. Students are not allowed to take a Leave of Absence for more than 8 semesters in total. Since the period of a Leave of Absence does not count toward the Period of Study, graduation is automatically postponed by the number of semesters of a Leave of Absence. During a Leave of Absence, the student's year level and semester will remain the same. However, a Leave of Absence counts towards a student’s Maximum Enrollment Period. Reinstatement is when a student returns to the University after a Leave of Absence with permission from the President. Students take courses based on the curriculum and system of the academic year in which they return to the University. Withdrawal is when a student leaves the University with permission from the President.
